We're excited to be partnering with Broken String Biosciences to find their first Financial Controller. Having secured further funding in its Series A round in August 2023, there couldn’t be a more exciting and critical time to join as Financial Controller.  The business is in full on scale-up mode and the successful candidate will ensure that all financial systems and processes are embedded to allow for effective operational financial management.

As expected in a small, high growth business, you will be highly involved with the detail of invoice approval, management account production, annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting. In addition, you will use your commercial acumen to build a suite of management KPIs, to provide the vital insights to inform strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate will be fully qualified with extensive knowledge of current UK financial reporting standards; excellent systems skills are essential (Xero or similar cloud-based product; advanced Excel) and you will be used to working independently, promoting finance as a critical business partner.
